The shadow of the Tomb Raider that ended should not be seen

Lara Croft is back at Croft Manor to pick up an envelope from Jacqueline Natla. Tomb Raider Diehards will recognize the name of the original 2006, where Natla was the main villain. Tomb Raider begins with Natla, who asks Croft to travel to Peru to be part of an old talisman, but the relationship dissolves from there.
This ending would suggest that after the reboot trilogy, Crystal Dynamics would follow the story of the original Tomb Raider of the PS1 era and could have been corrected since the studio was not yet ready to reveal it.
It may also be that the study has since opted for another address for Lara, and the official statement seems to prove it. A Tomb Raider forum member named ArigatoGozymas said he received a statement from Square Enix as part of the official Fansite program.
